Education

Education has always been in the DNA of riedel.wtf. We started in 2011 to write our own educational iPhone apps — teaching Latin tables, English vocabulary or knitting. Since then, we expanded our educational portfolio in order to support students and teachers using the latest technologies. For example, we created iRedstone that helps kids to learn the basics of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in a playful manner using the popular computer game Minecraft. This app is used by millions worldwide already. We received tremendous feedback from high-school teachers and students using it in class.

Another education app that we created is Processing for iOS. This app allows everyone to code on a smartphone — even without owning a computer. Our app is being used in several high-schools around the world to teach kids how to code; for example George Boateng started a project in Ghana to teach kids how to code on a smartphone using this app.
